Scrapbookers
call their words journalling. Try to write down a few
things in your mini book about what was important to you
when these photos were taken, things that somebody looking
through your book can't pick up in the photos.
Use
milky pens in your mini-books - they are acid-free.
Other
fun things you can include in your mini book are: flower punches,
DYMO machine labels, decorative-edge scissors, rubber or foam
stamps used with acid-free craft ink or paint, and glitter
glue, although it takes a loooong time to dry so be careful!
Tips for Moms
Try
to ensure that guests arrive on time to allow enough time
to complete the project and have time to socialise
too.
Make
sure that all guests bring a selection of good duplicate photographs
to work with.
The
more "stuff" you put out for the kids to use, the
more they will use (This is not always a good thing) . They
will not worry about colour etc. so keep it simple and unified
for a more pleasing end result. Avoid too much instruction,
they normally get right to it and naturally good "scrapbookers".
